The Leh Palace is a 17th Century palace built by the royal family of Kashmir. It is a nine-story palace which is an architectural wonder. The Phugtal Monastery is built on the mouth of a natural cave which is on the south-east part of Zanskar. It is quite a popular destination for the ones who are interested in trekking as there is no other way to reach this location.
Perhaps one of the riskiest treks that can be undertaken by humans is the Chadar Trek. It is trekking on the frozen river of Ladakh. The trek is usually conducted in the latter days of January and continues till the end of February.
