1. Kumbhalgarh Fort, Rajasthan
The Kumbhalgarh Fort in Rajsamand, Rajasthan, was built by Maharana Kumbha. There are two special features of this fort. First, the wall of this fort is the second largest wall in the world, which is 36 km long and 15 feet wide, so vast that five horses can run simultaneously on it.
This is an impenetrable fort that the enemy could never win on his strength. In this fort, palaces, temples, residential buildings were built in high places and flat land for agricultural work. The same sloping parts for water bodies and was made as self-supporting as possible.

2. Mehrangarh Fort, Rajasthan
It is more than 500 years old and the most significant fort. Mehrangarh fort is situated at a very high altitude, built by Rao Jodha. There are seven gates in this fort. Each gate was built as a memorial for the king’s victory in a war. Raja Mansingh built the Jayapal Gate in this fort. Inside the fort, buildings like Moti Mahal, Sheesh Mahal are decorated very beautifully. The temple & the museum of Chamunda Devi are inside this fort. The museum of this fort is considered to be the best museum in Rajasthan.

3. Jaisalmer Fort, Rajasthan
Jaisalmer Fort is one of the largest forts and is located in Rajasthan. Rawal Jaiswal built it. Jaisalmer Fort is also known as Sonar Fort. The Golden Fort is built in a triangle shape on the Trikuta hill, 76 km from the city. This fort is considered to be the second oldest fort in India. The most attractive in the fort are the Jain temples, the Royal Palace, and the big gates. Jaisalmer is a desert city that is famous for the Trikuta hills, Havelis, and lakes.

4. Chittorgarh Fort, Rajasthan
Chittorgarh is called the city of forts. Here you will get to see the oldest and most attractive forts of India. One of those forts is Chittor Fort. It is situated on the river banks, also called the Water Fort, as there are 84 water places in this fort, out of which 24 are in perfect condition today. This fort testifies to the bravery of Maharana Pratap. Rajput Festival is celebrated in Rajasthan, which is known as Jauhar Mela. There are two famous reservoirs in the fort of Chittorgarh, which are famous as Vijay Stambh and Rana Kumbha. Apart from this fort, here you have Amber Fort, Jaigarh Fort, and Taragarh Fort, which tourists frequent to see.

5. Red Fort, Delhi
The name of Red Fort comes in the most attractive and famous forts of India. This fort is located in Delhi.It was built by the Mughal ruler Shah Jahan. The walls of this fortress are made of red stone. This is why it is known as the Red Fort. There are many things to see in this fortress. Many people come daily to see Moti Masjid, Diwan-e-Aam and Diwan-e-Khas, it is on the Yamuna banks river. It is one of the most important heritage of India, from where the Prime Minister of the country gives a message to the people of the country and hoists the flag on Independence Day.

6. Red Fort, Agra
The Red Fort has been built at a distance of 2 km from the Taj Mahal of Uttar Pradesh. Sikandar Lodhi built this fort to live in Agra. This fort has UNESCO heritage status. This Red Fort of Agra comes in the Best Tourist Place of Uttar Pradesh. Apart from this fort, Jhansi Fort is also famous for its artwork. Jhansi Fort is the fort of Maharani Laxmibai.

7. Gwalior Fort, Madhya Pradesh
Rana Mansingh Tomar built Gwalior Fort in Madhya Pradesh. This fort is one of the historical monuments. The centre of attraction of this fort is the Sas-Bahu Temple and the Gujari Mahal. It also has a temple and a museum.

8. Golconda Fort, Hyderabad
The Kakatiya king built the Golconda Fort in the city of Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh. The fort is known for its rich history and majestic grand structure and also famous for the diamond mine near Kollur Lake.. 9. Kangra Fort, Himachal

10 Panhala Fort, Maharashtra
This fortress was built in the Sahyadri Mountains near Kolhapur in Maharashtra. This fortress commemorates the rulers of Maratha. Most of the forts in Maharashtra were built during the time of Shivaji. You can also go to the punar hiking fortress of Maharashtra. Fort Bahadurgarh, Fort Ahmedgarh, and Fort Ratnagarh are very famous for hiking. The Murud district in Maharashtra is famous for Janjira and its beautiful beach.
